Comments

Stromatolites represent some of the oldest life-forms on the planet.  Here in the outcrop you will find two froms - Baicalia and Conophyton which are about 1.4 billion years old.  The site also contains something called molar-tooth structure - a feature of Proterozoic sediments which probably formed from carbon dioxide bubbling up through unconsolidated sediments.   Stop 6 of Sears et al.
