Small Roman fort Adolfseck

Description

The small fort Adolfseck (in older publications also Adolphseck ) was a Roman military camp on the western Taunusstrecke (distance 3) of the Upper Germanic Limes , which attained in the year 2005 the status of the UNESCO world cultural heritage . The Obertägig no longer perceptible Bodendenkmal is located north of Adolfseck , a district of Bad Schwalbach in the Hessian Rheingau-Taunus district . In the immediate vicinity is the hill Adolfseck .
