The castles of Welzheim were two Roman military camps on the Vorderer Limes , a section of the UNESCO World Heritage Site " Obergermanisch-Rätischer Limes " on the territory of today's town of Welzheim in the Rems-Murr district in Baden-Württemberg . Among the most important findings that were obtained at this excavation site, contributed to the fountain finds from the Eastern fort. They gave a comprehensive insight into the vegetation and the living conditions of the inhabitants in the 2nd and 3rd centuries.
