Description

The Convent of Santo Domingo is a ruined monastery in Antigua Guatemala , Guatemala . Its history goes back to 1538 when the Dominicans arrived in Guatemala. It had 2 towers with 10 bells. The convent was completely destroyed in 1773 by the earthquakes in Santa Marta and currently part of its ruins have been transformed into the Hotel Casa Santo Domingo . 1
