The 2010 Mindanao earthquakes were a series of powerful earthquakes that occurred in the Southern Philippines in the Moro Gulf. There were no reports of damage or casualties as the shocks are deep-focus earthquakes occurring far too deep [over 500 kilometres (310 mi)] to pose any serious threat.[2]
