The salines of Salins-les-Bains are a set of two old salt mines (or sauneries ) located in Salins-les-Bains , in the department of Jura , France . Site of industrial production of ignigenic salt , they are with the salines of Lons-le-Saunier among the oldest known, in activity since about 7000 years .
