On June 1, 2022, a gunman shot and killed four people at the Natalie Building, part of the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.[1][2][3] The shooting is reported to have occurred on the building's second floor, in the orthopedic facility, with the victims being both staff and patients.[4] The Tulsa Police Department confirmed just before 6:00 PM CDT that the shooter was killed by what they believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.[5][6][3] The perpetrator was described by police as an African American male believed to be between the ages of 35 and 40, and was armed with a rifle and handgun.[4][7][8] The Tulsa Police Department notified the Muskogee Police Department that a bomb may have been placed in a residential area in Muskogee.[9] The shooting was the 233rd mass shooting in the United States in 2022.[10]
