On April 23, 2018, a rented Chevrolet Express van was driven into pedestrians in the central business district of North York City Centre in north Toronto, killing 10 and wounding 15 others.[2] The alleged driver of the van, 25-year-old Alek Minassian, was arrested 26 minutes later.[3] It is the deadliest vehicle-ramming attack in Canada.[4]
