The University of Tartu (UT; Estonian: Tartu Ülikool, Latin: Universitas Tartuensis) is a classical[clarification needed] university in the city of Tartu, Estonia. It is the national university of Estonia.[2] The University of Tartu is the only classical university in the country[3] and also the biggest[4] and most prestigious[5] university in Estonia. It was established by King Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden in 1632.
