Scottish Church College

The Scottish Church College is the oldest continuously running Christian liberal arts and sciences college in India.^[3] The college has been consistently highly rated by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, an autonomous organization that evaluates academic institutions in India. The college also enjoys the status of College with Potential for Excellence, a quality rating by the University Grants Commission. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta for degree courses for graduates and postgraduates. The Scottish Church College is a selective co-educational institution, which is better known for its academic standards, and its intellectual milieu. Students and alumni call themselves "Caledonians" in the name of the college festival, "Caledonia".
